AJ Gold Productions Campaign

Hello Wyoming, My name is AJ Gold and I am excited to begin this crowdfunding journey with you all. My team and I are beginning this campaign because there are a variety of things happening regarding LGBT rights and as a gay man living in the American west, I believe it's my duty to share the voices of the community. I am an advocate for many things but LGBT rights is on my top 5 things that I will advocate for until my last dying breath...or at least until the world finally stops marginalizing a community that already gets enough scrutiny.

A little background about AJ Gold. I grew up in the city of Cheyenne where I lived with my three sisters and parents. Growing up I always knew I was different from other kids. At the young age of  5 or 6 I allowed my sisters to dress me up and paint my nails. In fact I insisted that if I couldn't wear the pink tutu, then I didn't want to dress up. Even if I wasn't aware of it at the time, I was gay. As I grew up I gained a passion for acting and the theater world, which also lead to the film world. With this passion I chose to attend Central Wyoming College for Film and Theater production. Graduating with my associates I moved back home to Cheyenne with my then boyfriend but now husband where we currently live and work. I joined a local theater troupe in Cheyenne, The True Troupe. I have been doing shows with them since 2019 and enjoying every minute of it.

I did take a break from producing content so I could focus on my brand and what type of content I want to give to the world. Now with a new perspective and re-found passion for story telling, I decided that now is the time. The time to tell the world not only my story but my communities story as well. Being a gay man in the west I can say that growing up wasn't easy, as an adult there is still challenges but not as many, which is great. I have been living a quiet life and I don't mind it. But just because I have it easy doesn't mean other people do.

Our mission for this crowdfunding campaign is to gain the funds to start our productions of our first ever documentary "We're Here, We're Queer, We are Your Neighbors". This documentary will dive into the lives of many of the members of the LGBT community here is the Equality State. Whether they are a doctor, lawyer, nurse, teacher, cop, a coach, a cashier, their voice matters.  Our goal is to premiere this film in the summer of 2025.

Along with this documentary we will be creating more video content to help grow our following on social media. Follow us on Tiktok, Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube all @ajgoldproductions. We will release videos based around LGBT characters and people. This campaign is also a Casting Call for anyone who would like to share their story with AJ Gold Productions. Email us ajgoldproducitons@gmail.com and your story  may end up on our social media, or in the documentary page along with some of the other content we will be creating. It may be funny, dramatic, or just random. The goal is to just have fun and give acting or crew opportunities to people of the community who may have a passion for creating and performing but may not know the steps it takes to get to a finished product. Along with that our goal for the future of the company is to own a production space within the state. At this space we would love to have local artist come and work on their projects. Whether they are a dancer, writer, singer, or just if they need a place to express themselves, AJ Gold Productions Studio would be for that.
